Manzoor Hasan

Manzoor Hasan is a Houston CPA with more than 45 years in tax, accounting and finance. He is Managing Partner of Hasan & Associates, CPAs, PC, a full-service tax, accounting and advisory firm, and Chief Financial Officer of NextGen Carbon Solutions, a Houston company working on carbon capture.

He began as an auditor with a chartered accounting firm in Ottawa and as a corporate planner at National Drug and Chemical Co. in Montreal. In Houston he was tax manager at Oshman Sporting Goods, where he handled federal, state and local tax compliance and SEC reporting and designed a computerized central banking system for the company. He then served as controller of Deedco Properties before opening his own CPA practice in 1991.

Tax and accounting have stayed at the center of a wide career. He co-developed Southeast Emergency Physician Associates with three physicians and, as its CFO and CEO of Critical Care Management, grew it into a large emergency medicine organization. He co-founded the Rehab Center of Excellence, helped organize Spring National Bank (later sold to Compass Bank), has developed hotels in Houston, Beaumont and San Antonio through North American Properties, and has led technology transfer and telecom consulting projects in Saudi Arabia.

Learning has never stopped for him. Manzoor is now pursuing a PhD in artificial intelligence, for his own growth and for his clients: so his firm can use AI where it truly helps, and keep a CPA's judgment on every number that matters.

His passion project brings these threads together: a way to measure how much carbon a company stops releasing and turn that reduction into the tax savings and credits it can claim. The goal is one accountable, end to end service for companies, from measuring emissions to numbers a CPA can stand behind.
